Pfaff Sewing Machine Basics
The long history of Pfaff sewing machine began in 1862 when an instrument maker Georg Michael Pfaff (1823 – 1893) founded Pfaff in Kaiserslautern. The first machine ever made by Pfaff machine factory was hand-made machine made for sewing leather.
Over 140 years of tradition of secure and reliable quality products, great selection of machines (for sewing, embroidery, overlock, quilting and so on…) and most of all quality of products is what made Pfaff an internationally recognized name in the world of sewing machines.
Older models were popular for their durability and resilience. Pfaff kept these characteristics in new models and added computers to the picture.
Pfaff’s 5 sewing machine lines are:
1. Performance
2. Expression
3. ClassicStyle
4. Select Line
5. Hobby Line
Pfaff sewing machines from any of these 5 lines come with large accessory tray and hard cover for protection from dust and mechanical damage. The most common accessories included with Pfaff sewing machine are: Standard Presser Foot, Fancy Stitch Foot, Blind Stitch Foot, Rolled Hem Foot, Edge Guide/Quilting Guide, Buttonhole Foot, bobbins, needles etc..
Performance – The best example of this line is Performance 2058 . This is a machine with incredible possibilities like high resolution touch screen that provides an easy access to enormous selection of stitches and functions.
With imagination, some sewing skills and several special functions like decorative stitches (241) patchwork, tapering, bartock and eyelets making, and 12 different buttonholes there is no end of fun.
Expression Line – This line has very 3 powerful computerized sewing machines for people who love to sew no matter how advanced they are. Special features and options like many needle positions, decorative, satin, quilt, cross stitches, utility and hem stitches, IDT (Integrated Dual Feed – even fabric feed from both the top and bottom), professional buttonholes, button sewing function and many more are there to make your sewing experience much more pleasant and a lot easier.
ClassicStyle – is a line of affordable sewing machines with recognizable quality, amazing features and design. 4 machines from this line are perfect for people who are looking for a perfect sewing machine at affordable price. Large display that shows you all it’s features changeable with simple press of a button is just one of many options available.
Select Line – has 3 easy to use models. Modern look, large number of stitches and practical features makes them perfect for people who need a versatile sewing machine. Easy Select System, simplifies choosing a stitch from the wide variety of quality stitches to the maximum, and of course there always IDT (Integrated Dual Feed – even fabric feed from both the top and bottom) that makes your sewing a lot easier.
Hobby Line – is a line of easy to use sewing machines.
But just because they are easy to use doesn’t mean that they are any less quality or effective from machines in any other line. By buying one of the 3 machines in hobby line you are getting lots of possibilities at an exceptionally low price.
There is no need to sacrifice quality when buying a sewing machine on a limited budget and Hobby line is a perfect proof for that since the very first day it was created. All three Hobby machines are oil free so there are no worries about staining the fabric.
